Privacy Policy

DeskZen (“the App”) is a macOS menu-bar utility that organizes files on your Desktop. We designed it to keep your data on your Mac.

What DeskZen does locally

• Reads files on your Desktop (with your permission).
• Moves those files into ~/Documents/DeskZen_Archive/.
• Stores license activation status in the macOS Keychain on your device.
• Optionally shows local notifications about clean results.

What we do not collect

• No analytics or telemetry SDKs.
• No cloud sync of your Desktop files.
• No advertising identifiers.
• We do not upload the contents of your Desktop or Documents folders.

License activation

When you activate a Pro license, the App sends your license key and a hardware identifier to Creem’s license API so we can confirm the purchase and enforce activation limits. That request does not include your Desktop files. Checkout and license delivery are handled by Creem (Merchant of Record). Creem’s privacy practices apply to those payments: creem.io/privacy.

Permissions

macOS may ask for Desktop / Documents folder access (or Full Disk Access). These permissions are used only to move files during a clean. You can revoke them anytime in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
